I know, I made it up. It's based on polish pronounciation because I am Polish and it connects me to my roots. It doesn't mean anything but it's similar to other polish words
Try saying "sho" - "tin" and you almost got it ;) I love hearing people trying to pronounce it and I mean it. I find it endearing.
I’m the artist behind the stuff you’ll find here. My name is Natalia Gibaszek, nice to meet you.
I create art that goes from cosy to quirky pretty fast.
Honestly, I tried limiting myself to just one style or medium.
Either cute.
Or spooky.
Either traditional or digital.
It didn’t vibe with me, why would it? I enjoy bouncing between the cosy to the strange. The art that comes through is more alive to me like that. I trust my intuition to follow anything that sparks curiosity. I find that the best artwork I make comes from that authenticity.
Since I could remember, I was drawing. It brings me joy and comfort and I hope to share this with the world.
I was 12 years old when I bought my first digital tablet (bamboo pen! :) Now I am in my late 20s, making art my career.
I worked with private clients for most of my carreer. People wanting their loved ones drawn or their DnD character, etc. I have had returning client because I am fun to work with.
From Poland I moved to the UK to study Animation at Solent University. Graduated with honours, no big deal.
I chose this course fully knowing I won’t become an industry animator. I wanted to learn how to draw faster, how composition works, how to evoke emotions with colour and how to simplify complex ideas even faster.
I am known for being fast at drawing, mainly because I have so many ideas flowing that I can't really stop myself from starting multiple projects at once. I love switching between them and push them to the point of completion as soon as possible. This doesn't mean I'm careless because I am serious about my art and improvement. But life is too short not to draw as much as possible! ♥
